Admission
- Normal rates apply for parties of less than 10 people
- Pre-schoolers are admitted free
Static Day (No tram or train)
- $10 per adult, $4 per child, $24 per family
Tram running day (weekends & Holidays)
- $15 per adult, $6 per child
- Family passes $35 (Two adults and up to 4 children)
EVENT Day (Steam Train Running)
- $20 per adult, $8 per school child
- Family Pass $48 (2 adults & up to 4 school children)
Annual passes available $96 family, $40 adult
Special group discounts of 10% for parties of more than 10 paying visitors; please make a booking if time allows.
Included in the Admission price:
- Access to the Ferrymead Heritage Buildings and exhibitions
- Free tram rides on weekends and holidays
- Free train rides on train running days
- Use of our picnic and BBQ areas
- Your own Gas BBQ may be brought in, provided it is safe.
Special Activities available
- Cinema $2.00 per person
- Hire a tram on a non-running day; $2.30 per person (minimum $65)

Children's birthday parties
For a birthday to remember for a lifetime.
A train carriage seats 50. We provide a table and rubbish bin. You may decorate the carriage before the party and it will be locked until required.
On a non-train day, the carriage will be parked at the Railway Station for your party and you may also enjoy all the other attractions of Ferrymead.
On a train running day the carriage will be hitched to the train so it will move along with the train, the birthday person may ride in the cab, and of course you will be able to also enjoy all the other Ferrymead attractions.
The Steam train runs every Summer Sunday (December, January and February) and on the first Sunday of the months from March to November.
Note: Sorry, the birthday train is NOT available for hire during the Sundays & Mondays of Easter and Labour Weekend as these are our busy Event Days.
