Meet pioneer woman Margaret Todd and hear the story of her journey to New Zealand, why she came and her experiences on arrival.

V-Hut Experience

Become a member of a pioneer family and perform some of their daily tasks, such as thatching and pit-sawing.

Pioneering Crafts & Skills

Make candles, rag rugs, tie knots and practise other skills used by the early settlers.

Pioneering Lunch

Enjoy a genuine pioneering lunch provided by Ferrymead Heritage Park for all students.
