Year 3+

Experience communication systems and media of the past.  Compare old technology with that of today in this exciting interactive programme.  (Maximum 45 students.)

Post & Telegraph

Hear the ring of an early telephone and transfer calls using old-fashioned switch boards. Morse code available for Year 7+.

Cinema

Experience an old-time picture show in an authentic setting featuring aspects of communication in the past.

Print Shop

Experience a working print shop from another era that houses an Albion press, a typesetting machine and a paper-folding machine.

Radio Station

Visit a working radio station.  Have a go at being a radio announcer.  Listen to recordings from the past played on antique sound systems.
