How the Easter Open Pulpit will work

Please telephone the Park office on 03 384 1970 to make a booking, or email on info@ferrymead.org.nz.

Half-hour slots for presentations in the church can be booked for Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday, 10 to 13 April. Bookings will be taken from 10am to 4.00pm

Presentations can be for 15 to 25 minutes (no longer unless there is no-one booked into the next slot).

Presentations are to relate in some way to the significance of Easter.

Presenters are to provide their own equipment and any props required.

Your booking will be pencilled in and you will be sent a confirmation form to sign and return. Upon receipt of the signed form, your booking will be secure.

After 3 April, presenters may book multiple slots (on the same day or different days) if they are available.

One complimentary family pass will be issued per presenter, to be collected from the Park office on arrival.

Presenters are not to drive into the Park grounds on the day of their booking.  They may park in the car park adjacent to the office if space is available however that can’t be guaranteed. On the day of presentation, please allow plenty of time to find a parking space, to check in with the Park office and get to the church.

A timetable of the presentations taking place each day will be posted outside the church.

Visitors to the Park's four-day "Easter Family Fun" event will receive a sheet on arrival listing highlights at the Park, including the presentations in the church. The church is the first building that visitors come to as they enter the Park.

We cannot guarantee you an audience, however, the Park's Easter event is widely publicised and generally well-attended. Visitors entering the church may choose to sit and listen to your whole presentation, listen for a short while or not listen at all. Please be prepared for a "moving" audience!
